Hi-Fi RUSH is a rhythm spectacle fighter platformer. It was made by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda. It was in development for 6 years and shadowdropped on January 25th 2023. At launch, it was only available to play on XBox and PC, but it later was also released on PS5 in March of 2024. There was/is also a planned Nintendo Switch port. The game was critically acclaimed, and received numerous awards.
On May 7th of 2024, Microsoft shut down many of its studios, including Tango Gameworks. Following this, the game received its final update on the 15th of that month. The studio officially closed in June. Then, on August 11th of that year, the studio was bought and revived by Krafton, who also acquired the rights to the Hi-Fi RUSH IP.

Back in February of 2023, I found out about HFR via this video by SoundSmith. The few clips in it intrigued me, so I went to Steam to check it out, liked what I saw, and decided to make one of the best decisions of my life by buying it right then and there and playing it not long after.
As of August 2024, I have 100%ed HFR 7 times and have a total of 489 hours in play time, alongside 1,232 screenshots uploaded to Steam. I have the deluxe edition and all the costume packs; the Total Rockstar, Drop the 808, Chai, and Hi-Fur RUSH t-shirts; the 808 and Chai hoodies; the Wall of Fame poster; the 808 plushie; and the Chai day mug.
I have written around 100,000 words for stories about it (both published and unpublished). I've done two Minecraft builds of places from it. I've created memes, transparent edits, icons, OCs, AUs, and this shrine. I've met and made friends with really cool people because of it.
Suffice to say, I love this game. Unlike I have loved...any other, really. I want this page to convey that love. To show this game to other people. To get them to maybe understand, and possibly even feel that same sort of love for it. So thanks for checking it out and taking the time out of your day to read all this, and learn about this silly thing I love so much.
I sincerely doubt anyone who worked at Tango Gameworks or anyone else who helped make Hi-Fi RUSH will find this, but, if you did, I just want to say thanks. This game (clearly) means the world to me. It also means a lot to a bunch of other people. I hope, despite the bullshittery that was pulled on you, you're still proud. Because you should be. You did a damn good job. And I'm so happy that you were picked back up again! I can't wait to see what comes next!
Love, Angel
